i'm a 19 E/ME and i keep dieing, i removed all spells from the bar and it still kills me! when it fight it, it seems to use a bow and if i go back with a different weapon it would have that weapon too... any advice would help alot thx.

Have you tried using Backfire or other Domination skills? You may have to take a good look at your Mesmer skills for interrupts/energy draining/indirect damage skills.

yepp, i've tried backfire w/ other spells that has to do with the enemy losing energy.... i just don't know what else to do.... i mean he/her hits do atleast 40+ more dmg then i do to it. i hit it for 18 it hits me for 50+

hey, i am lvl20 N/ME, actually i finished the game.
And the mirror self was the funniest part in the game i think.
First of all he does more damage with usual weapon: i was making 5dmg with my cesta and he 25dmg. So there is no way for bruteforce.
Backfire is what saved me! And also i recommend taking a bunch of no-use spells, as he seems to cast em in random order.
There is a battle plan, once u appear quickly hit C, to select the guy and 8 (or whatever button which casts backfire). Your mirror starts casting all these non useful spells and dies. And also take smth to interrupt him casting BF.

this thread helped a lot! I too am a E/Me and I just beat my mirror self to ascend, and it was actually pretty easy

first, refund all your attrib points that arent into energy storage and put them into domination, and whats left over into earth magic.

next, I equiped backfire, empathy, armor of earth and a bunch of other spells I knew wouldn't affect me. as soon as it starts, cast backfire then empathy then armor of earth (even if you have backfire on you by now) just sit there and let him shoot his bow at you (which shouldnt really hurt with armor of earth) and let the empathy/backfire do its job. recast your spells as needed, but with this combination he should be dead in like 15 seconds.
